Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – any of themselves in this movie that they see
Huntington – Well it’s all us, no no I mean we did the movie. Marquette – Yeah definitely. Sometimes I get Chris Marquette, but they’re like, are you that guy? No there’s a huge chunk of us in the movie, I think with any actor in any movie. Huntington – Definitely. Marquette – Yeah there’s gonna be a huge chunk of you. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – more on themselves in the movie
Huntington – No yeah I’m a huge Star Wars fan and uh I love comic books and so uh you know and I naturally in real life got along with Sam and Jay and Fogler very well, so I think uh as much of me when I’m having fun and excited about something uh is definitely in the movie too. Marquette – and I’m like very much like the play it safe guy. Like yeah yeah yeah, terrified of doing anything that’s kind of um dangerous or uh I will never, and I don’t branch out. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – it’s really a serious thing for some people
Huntington – Oh absolutely, they take it very seriously, and you know the thing is is like I was talking to somebody about this the other day where comic books are just books and you hear people, Oprah’s got a book club, you know people are into it. you know you read, you’re a fan of something, it’s just like being a fan of anything and I think that.. Marquette – You substitute, you look at sports fans, and sports fans are guys who like hang out at bar and you know drink beer and watch a basketball game and you know and uh Star Wars fans are guys who hang out at a bar and talk Star Wars you know or hang out at a comic book shop and talk Star Wars. Huntington – You hang out with the people, you have common interests and you talk about what you know and what you love and that’s just the way it is. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – did you meet George Lucas?
Marquette – Yeah he was talking to the producers a lot and I think the studio and he okayed everything and uh and he even gave Kyle Newman the producers full access to all the actual Star Wars sounds so they could use all the sound effects like light saber effects, R2D2 effects, all that kind of stuff. Huntington – It really like elevates the… Marquette – It really elevates the entire movie. (talks) Huntington – yeah all the R2D2 noises, and like the Ewoks, we couldn’t have made the movie without them. We haven’t met him. Marquette – We haven’t met him yet, unfortunately. But you know I heard Kyle Newman say great things he said this movie is like a love letter to George Lucas, so you know so I think when they told him that, they’re like, “We’re making a movie to show you how much we love you and your artistic endeavors and your movies and uh…” Huntington – What was he going to say, no? Marquette – Yeah was he going to be like psh, screw off. You love me? Heck yeah. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – Star Trek fans not seen in the same light
Marquette – Yeah not at all, but you I mean it has to be that way, you have to pick either or you know cause there’s very, Star Trek and Star Wars is very similar as most people might think they are. They aren’t, and I’m not a Star Trek fan, personally, so um I’m definitely on one side of the fence. Huntington – And people who are in the world really know the kind of uh headbutting that goes on between the Star Wars fans and the Star Trek fans so it’s kind of like uh you know appropriate. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – the cameos *RC at end
Huntington – Well I mean it’s… Marquette – They’ve got the trailer. (talks) Huntington – Princess Leia, Lando Calrisian, uh Captain Kirk. Marquette – It’s got Seth Rogen, it’s got Danny McBride, it’s got you know Craig T. Nelson, it’s got everybody. Huntington – Craig T. Nelson isn’t in the movie. (talks) Marquette – Craig T. Nelson isn’t in the movie? (talks) Who am I thinking of? Huntington – Craig Robinson? Marquette – Craig Robinson. Oh I’m sorry, Jesus. Oh coffee. |

Sound Bite: Sam Huntington & Chris Marquette – Shatner being the head
Marquette – Well that’s what redeems it, you know you got William Shatner who both of us, you know, are absolutely drooling over in the movie and you know and although as many Star Trek fans you know the movie makes fun of at certain points or the characters make fun of, you know it completely makes fun of it when you show the ultimate Star Trek guy and how huge Star Wars fans are like shaking in his presence. Huntington – Of course as if a Star Trek fan were to meet Mark Hammil or Harrison Ford or you know what I mean? You’d still be blown away, it’s still cool you know. |
