He explains the complaint was brought by 17 young men, 16 of which are members of minority races.

An African American male defendant seated at the table, spells his name, Phiyuka Carlos, and talks into several mics about when the Santa Clara Police Department stopped he and his friends as they were trying to enter the park. He points to photos hanging up behind him that shows the boys wearing "pajamas" with pool balls on them. He states the police officer had objected to the boys wearing "colors". Great America Security stopped them and stated that three individuals or more cannot wear the same outfit to the park, and there was no compromise with the security officers.
