Part Three - September 1, 1987. Countdown

Reporter speaks to a local resident on the street, a young Black man maybe mid 20's. - he states he feels there's no control, like a battle you never win. You may lose your life fighting it, but they never make any ground on it.

Var. shots of teenage gang members, 15 and 16 years old, walking down the street, talking to reporter. A young teenage kid, Robert Ford ( a Crip member ) states nonchalantly, ...from now on i'm gonna try and kill all the slobs i can".

Var. shots of police arresting some gang members. Criminsals stand against a gate with their hands behind their heads. A police officer pulls some cash out of a perp's pocket.

Var shots of Del Paso Heights at Robinson Community Center where some gang members are seen casually hanging out.

Var. shots of South Sacramento, where it's more Crip territory. A yellow building is seen with gang graffiti, gang members walk the streets casually.

POV moving car, CU Kenneth Wheeler, Youth Gang Counselor gives advice.

Var. shots of Preston Youth Authority where many teen gang members end up dead or doing time. The Guard tower, inmates in the yard. Pan out from the inmates to a TV news reporter who states "once you get into it, you never get out. Interviews with nmates Johan Bolton and Reg Crathin agree.
