Darnell – No we wanted it to be its own story in a way and we didn’t want it to have to, in way we kind of said well maybe if you didn’t see the first one you’d still understand the story so that’s what we set out to do and um hopefully you know it plays on its own.

Darnell – Yeah you know and it’s fun to pitch a story or characters, for example Alec Baldwin you know we approached him with a different character, a hunter actually a human, and that character actually fell out of the film but we loved Alec playing a villain and along came this rival lion Makunga and we pitched it to Alec and immediately he had ideas for his character. (talks) Just in how he would act and he thought himself, part of it didn’t make it in the movie but you know how he’d get on the phone and like he’d be kind of think he’s a ladies man and all the female lions would just you know dismiss him and stuff like that so it was really funny and so he got right into it right away and we just feel really fortunate that they say yes.
