Sound Bite: ACTOR Mark Ruffalo INTERVIEWED DURING PRESS JUNKET FOR HIS FILM " ZODIAC" SERIAL KILLER DRAMA
Well I wasn’t, the cereal killer genre isn’t immediately you know where I see myself uhm but you know it is David Fincher and after talking about what he wanted to do, you know he was, he wanted to do All the Presidents Men meets Seven basically and uhm that was interesting to me. Doing a character drama with dialogue and really in-depth character studies with David Fincher and this cast is like kind of a dream come true. And there’s the whole you know, just Dave Toschi who he was and uh his story was just very intriguing, hero to me kind of you know. A02. HRN-957 In: 14.12.32 Out: 14.13.02 Sound Bite: Mark Ruffalo Yeah I spent uhm I got to spend some time with Dave Toschi in San Francisco uh I went to visit him at his work and spent two days with him watch him work and just you know go, asking him question after question and uhm and really kind of got to know them man and uhm really respect him and like him quite a bit. A03. HRN-957 In: 14.13.09 Out: 14.14.09 Sound Bite: Mark Ruffalo Oh yeah I mean you start, you start to like really could be maybe it is a different sign I mean you there’s so much and we were given so much, we were privy to the inter investigation from all the different jurisdictions and uhm you know it does become kind of obsessive. You can see how someone, there’s just so much material and there’s and in a way ? really is, you know weaves it together, he kind of weaves this narrative around all the information and brings up some interesting points. Like the stuff with birthday and you know all the stuff is all conjecture and hearsay and sort of like its circumstantial but it does add to this mountainous sort of heap of information that points to uh you know to ? A04. HRN-957 In: 14.14.11 Out: 14.14.49 Sound Bite: Mark Ruffalo I’ve heard it a couple times in here (talks) Yeah I did everything I could to sort of slide into Dave Toschi in the early 60’s going to the next two decades you know (talks) My hair was long around this time and then you know it was a few months before we started shooting so by the time we got there it was kind of, it was kind of good timing, perfect timing for it you know. I was wearing my hair longer at that time so yeah. |
