In: 15.34.19 Out: 15.34.44 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – did they sit down to discuss channeling Matthew Perry Zac – Uh yeah there’s just there were lines, there were parts of the movie that uh, you know were really Matthew’s lines, I was just saying them, and so we figured those out and highlighted them. (talks) Yeah we did. I can’t remember all the specifics, but we definitely worked together on figuring out how to you know split this character. Thomas – |

In: 15.34.51 Out: 15.35.22 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – on having scenes with Perry Thomas – I really have 1 at the beginning, and then I’m really with Zac the entire movie. (talks) Because he does such a good job, they do such a good job splitting the character is why. I gotta say some, both the scenes with Matthew and the scenes with Zac were probably the funnest thing because we got to play around with almost everything and I had no idea what a good improviser and how fast you would be. I was not expecting to get referred to as Clay Aiken. (talks) it was the most surprising thing. Zac – No it was… |

In: 15.35.26 Out: 15.35.58 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – different movie than we’ve seen him in Zac – Absolutely. Um it was exactly what I wanted to do next man it was you know it was in a high school setting but it was not a high school role and an amazing cast signed on you know I feel so lucky to have them you know to play off. Working with Tom is amazing. It was so fun to not have you know really any rules, we could do whatever we wanted. Thomas – He hit me in the head with a lightsaber really really hard too. So hard. |

In: 15.35.58 Out: 15.36.32 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – slapping in the head with the lightsaber Thomas – It was way more than that. (talks) Oh it was quite a few. Bird, the director, just seemed to be enjoying it. Zac – He’d just sit back there and laugh, he just wouldn’t yell cut, he was just like psh haha. (talks) Thomas – I tried to connect as hard as I could that would be funny without causing any permanent damage. (talks) I had to ice myself certainly on a couple of occasions after shooting I’m sure. You’re fine. |

In: 15.36.37 Out: 15.37.09 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – bizarre character to play Thomas – Here’s the thing, everyone comes in keeps saying he’s such a weird little nerd, he’s such a strange little uh geek um it was really not that much of a stretch for me. It was basically a version of myself with dumber hair. (talks) That was the dumbest hairdo I think I’ve ever seen. Zac – He’s still in character. Thomas – I had that for months, too. That was a lot of fun. (talks) Zac – How was that on set? Thomas – It was awesome. Walking around on set like that all the time. Zac – Swanky parties at his house. Thomas – He’s lost his mind. A06. HRN-3263 Cam C In: 15.37.26 Out: 15.37.39 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – co-star speaking Elvish Thomas – Especially considering that she never memorized it before and she had to do it read it put it on a plate on a napkin in front of her. You remember that? You weren’t there that day. I spent weeks learning the Elvish. |

In: 15.37.51 Out: 15.38.00 Sound Bite: Zac Efron / Thomas Lennon – why it was fun Zac – Exactly, that’s why it was fun, it was a stretch. It was like the craziest option around at the time. |
