You know, there’s uh, there are some really emotional uh elements to to this film (talks) So it’s coming as a surprise uh but I’m I hope it’s gonna go over well with women. It’s a, you know, it’s, you see you gotta poster, it looks like a guy flick. (talks) So there’s definitely those aggressive elements. But you know there is some emotion that is surprising people also. |

Absolutely. Uh this for me is an attempt at growing as an actor, growing as an artist, and making a more aggressive attempt at blending the things that that I’ve been really uh successful with, but also trying to develop a uh a new skill. Uh for me the, we view this film as a small character drama that we were gonna put into the middle of blockbuster package. And I just, uh it’s terrifying to take this approach to this film. We’ve done things with this movie that you’d never do. |

Right, that, absolutely. It is, it’s one of those things, I think that’s where I wanna be right now. I wanna be aggressively artistic and aggressively creative and I want people to to leave the films that that I’m gonna be a part of creating over the, over the next ten years, I want them to leave feeling like they’ve seen something that they’ve never seen before. And I thought, wow, that was really, that that was an interesting uh concept, cause if you don’t get out on the edge of failure, you’ll never create somethin new. You’ll never be in the zone to to to score in a way that no one ever has before. Christopher Columbus had to risk sailing over the edge of the earth. So that’s me, that’s Willy Columbus. Yeah. It’s it’s um, you know there are definitely elements of this film we tried to maintain the authenticity and not go away from the harsh uh heavy moments for the reality of it, but at the end I hope there’s uh things that people can come away with, you know, it’s not the, it’s not the uh, it’s not the happy ending per se, but it’s the inevitable ending. |
