Sound Bite: Eric McCormack and Jenni Baird
Eric – No I was producing actually, when I left Will and Grace I actually do go do some stage in New York uhm and then I was producing, I produced a show called Love Spring International for Lifetime and uh a pilot. Uhm but then realized that was not where I wanted to be, I missed being here. So I did The Andromeda Strain for A&E and shortly after that again in Vancouver uhm shot this. |

Sound Bite: Eric McCormack and Jenni Baird
Baird – Yeah because the script was so authentic I mean really it came off the page. Eric – Yeah I knew what it would like look, I didn’t know, I didn’t fully get the tone which I thought was going to be a little bit more send up and Bob made it clear that wasn’t what he was doing, that he wanted to, and again I didn’t fully even understand why at the time but he wanted to recreate it in all, every department whether it be props, lighting, the film stock, he was going to be authentic and he was virtually going to sell it like an unearth piece of film from 57. Baird – and he didn’t want us to play the comedy, it had to be real an earnest. Eric – Yeah he wanted it to be funny because it was true. |

Sound Bite: Eric McCormack and Jenni Baird
Eric – Yeah a little bit, like I said, I didn’t, at the time I didn’t want to say who is this for, who is going to see this, this is going to go directly – well it turns out there’s, we’re going to have this big release, I mean bigger then I thought this film would have. I am really delighted that its going to see the light of day because it is, it is made with such love, he is just a man full of joy and and uh happy memories of films like this. Baird – He believes so strongly in us and his project that it was really infectious, it was like going along for his ride. |
