Alyson - No…it’s in the same tone as the scary movies are. But we are absolutely spoofing the romantic comedy genre. But you know…ala scary movie.

Alyson -I see a lot of ‘my best friends wedding’ there’s the table song, breaking into song. There’s the best friend trying to break up the wedding.
Adam: Big fat Greek wedding as well. Alyson: Oh yes, ‘My big fat Greek wedding’ there’s a lot of stuff there. And just…. Adam: The Bridget Jones theme is kind of throughout the whole thing isn’t it. Don’t you think? Alyson: Ya.. I mean there's so many films that we spoof. We can’t even count how many there are. |

Alyson - Ya, its not just romantic comedies that we’re spoofing. We spoof the Paris Hilton commercial, bachelorette, and quite a few tv shows. MTV’s pimp my ride. And what else? And some other movies that aren’t romantic comedies like star wars and lord of the rings and King Kong and it just keeps going on and on the list.
Adam: There’s hundreds and hundreds of movie references Alyson: But you don’t actually need to know what the references are to know that its funny and sort of absurd humor. |

You know I met Jennifer in the trailer of one of the 3 pie movies, but I’ve always been such a huge fan of her work and I was more than thrilled to know that I got to actually have scenes with her and to work with Fred Willard again was such a blessing and I’m such a huge fan of both of theirs.

You know I was approached to do a trailer in order to see if the movie could be green lit. and they told me the idea, there was no script at the time. But it was just, “okay, will you do a day with these 2 new directors to see what the tone of it would be” so then we shot what would be a trailer for the movie and so the studio looked at it and they decide if they would make a movie or not based on this trailer.

Ya. I went to the Royal academy of Dramatic Arts in London. And that was sort of like a classical training. A lot of voice work and stuff like that. And this was.. Date Movie was just totally far removed from that. A brilliant sort of first job. So ya. Its been wonderful.
