OC: I mean what’s it like, did she ever have any bad hair days.
Susan: I probably have more bad hair days than she did, because she went to the groomers a lot, a lot more than I do, but yeah she had a couple but not very many, she had a professional groomer on set all the time, to take care of her,
OC: Well she’s a star, was she temperamental?
Susan: She would run to her trailer occasionally, if she didn’t get what she wanted, but just I mean don’t let her hear that, just a couple of times.

Sound Bite: Troy Gentile – “Mark” – Hotel for Dogs
I feel that the producing corps for this film, with Laura Shuler/Donner, I felt that they had a good young talented director attached, you know, they have a hot young actress, getting hot in Hollywood right now with Emma Roberts, just everybody attached I felt worked pretty well, the script was based on a old book , I thought that was great also, there were a lot of things that made me focus on this film, it’s kind of hard, but I think mostly it was the people attached to the project.
00:31:51 1881.98 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Troy Gentile – “Mark” – Hotel for Dogs
I like how dogs watch there own TV’s, I like how they focus, maybe have some runs in there, for the dogs to run, you know, have a little doggie park in there somehow, dogs are hard animals to handle, but there great dependent loving things, so, it’s really hard what I would do, but I would make them have a lot runs, and run lose a lot.

Sound Bite: Yvette Nicole Brown – “Ms. Camwell” – Hotel for Dogs
I’m wearing Rachel Parrot on the top and Torrid on the bottom, Torrid on the bottom, that’s kind of dirty isn’t, I’m Torrid on the bottom, (she laughs), I do this do you every time, I don’t know why, I’m totally PG and then I get to you and I’m naughty.
00:33:00 1950.12 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Yvette Nicole Brown – “Mrs. Camwell” – Hotel for Dogs
I audition first to be one of the dog catchers and I didn’t get that role, so they brought me back to play Troy’s mom, it’s really weird, Troy’s white and I’m black, and he’s, my name is Mrs. Camwell, and he’s my son, I don’t know, they never tell with it, but I’m like the Cruella D’Ville of the movie and I’m very angry and I don’t like dogs, in the movie, in real life I love them and that’s my part.
00:33:30 1980.21 thumbnail

Sound Bite: Ivan Reitman – Executive Producer – Hotel for Dogs Lauren Shuler Donner – Producer – Hotel for Dogs
Ivan: I’ll speak first, it was a delightful script, we both have worked with animals before in movies that we produced,
OC: who weren’t necessarily animals?
Ivan: Or an animal house, I think this has, it’s very funny and has a lot of really important things to say, about the importance of family, the importance of helping people and things that can’t help themselves, and the creation of home and how important that is for our families.
00:44:20 2630.26 thumbnail
****Bad audio, track Camera Mic, full
Sound Bite: Ivan Reitman – Executive Producer – Hotel for Dogs Lauren Shuler Donner – Producer – Hotel for Dogs

00:46:13 2743.51 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Rosanna Arquette – Actress Jason Clark – Producer – Hotel for Dogs
Jason: I love dogs, what can you say, it was a lot of fun, I think it’s a movie for everyone, everybody loves dogs, and what can be easier than working with kids and dogs.
OC: What was that like?
Jason: It was challenging, there was an idea originally that it would be at sea, so we would have kids, dogs and water, the 3 most difficult things , but no, in all reality it was a pleasure it was great, and we had incredible trainers, we had Mark Forbes who puts “The Dog Whisper” to shame, a really incredible guy who helped us great these performances from these animals, and the kids were wonderful, it was a lot of fun.
00:47:15 2805.64 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Rosanna Arquette – Actress Jason Clark – Producer – Hotel for Dogs
Rosanna: I would, well you know, special shampoos, and down feathered beds, right,
OC: How about you?
Rosanna: Room service, exercise in the pool kind of stuff.

00:48:07 2857.76 thumbnail
B-Roll: Lisa Kudrow gets interviewed by Fox, tilt up to banner pan down to Lisa.
00:48:45 2895.8 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Lisa Kudrow – “Lois Scudder” – Hotel for Dogs
Well it looked like it would be fun, and I heard Don Cheadle and Emma Roberts and I had seen Nancy Drew and Emma was amazing and you know, I thought that would be good and the big thing is that my son could see me in a movie, he wouldn’t have to wait to adulthood, you know.
00:50:07 2977.68 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Lisa Kudrow – “Lois Scudder” – Hotel for Dogs
Oh these were great that they came up in the movie, I love that the simulated car ride where they spluff on the dogs and have some background, I like the shoe dispenser like a candy machine that was funny, the poop thing was really good, I think that would be key.
00:50:39 3009.71 thumbnail

00:52:43 3133.97 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Emma Roberts: “Andi” – Hotel for Dogs
You know I love the cast, I really admire Lisa Kudrow as an actress and as a person, I think she’s great and Kevin Dillon is hilarious on Entourage and Don Cheadle is the man so it was great to work with all of them
00:53:20 3170.07 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Emma Roberts: “Andi” – Hotel for Dogs

B-Roll: Emma and Don Cheadle meet and hug, the stop for photos.
00:55:02 3272.31 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Thor Freudenthal – Director – Hotel for Dogs
What excited me about it was to make an urban fairytale movie with dogs, that would be a dog unlike other dog movies we’ve seen, I think there is a certain element to the theme of kids in the city putting together a home by themselve’s, that really appealed to me.
00:56:53 3383.48 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Thor Freudenthal – Director – Hotel for Dogs
Can I say that on camera?
OC: Go ahead.
Thor: I would have, definitely a bunch of mannequin legs for humping, which we didn’t do in the movie, but, um, you know it’s not PG I guess.
00:58:19 3469.7 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Jake T. Austin – “Bruce” – Hotel for Dog
You know, I got the script from my agent, you know I read the script and I thought it would be interesting to play so unlike myself, where Bruce is a mechanical genius, soft spoken and introverted, foster child, a great character to play, and I like the messages that the film sends out.
00:59:02 3512.78 thumbnail
Sound Bite: Jake T. Austin – “Bruce” – Hotel for Dog
A poop machine like this movie, I would probably have a little track on the roof, a dog pool, I think that would be pretty cool.
