Sound Bite: Dwayne The Rock Johnson – people come up to him more often in Vegas?
Yeah well yeah you know what’s interesting is when you come to Vegas you know people typically if you’re not a if you’re a serious or experienced gambler you know people come to Vegas with that mindset, I’m just I’m gonna go crazy. When that plane lands, everything I’ve ever dreamed or ever thought about um I’m gonna do when I’m in Vegas. And then that’s usually accompanied by a lot of alcohol, so by the time we’re on the strip shooting at 2 AM, it’s all caution to the wind. Those people are coming up to me, they’re trying to get into my cab, they’re walking literally in the shot, women are coming up to me, guys are making all kinds of noise. Uh but it’s a lot of fun. Little bit of a challenge but it was still a lot of fun.

I was a fan and I was especially a fan of empowered kids because you know when you’re a kid uh you know that’s awesome when other kids have powers. You dream about that kind of stuff so I was a fan, I was a big fan.

Sound Bite: Dwayne The Rock Johnson – he gravitates more to comedy
Well originally when I first started, it’s like I was getting I was only doing action movies, and by the way that was only material I was getting, it’s like you’re getting scoop neck action material like that’s what you’re getting, but yet I wanted to try to create as much opportunity as I could to work in different genres. I love the idea of doing comedy um and I love the idea of making people laugh and feel good is a really cool thing but I wasn’t getting that type of material so you know I would it was I knew I had to try and create these opportunities for comedy. It’s like going on Saturday Night Live for the very first time and hosting that. (talks) I’ll be doing it again which is great so it’s creating that type of opportunity, going on Saturday Night Live and then doing things on that show that people wouldn’t necessarily expect. You want to dress in drag, you want to put on nail polish, yeah, I’ll do that, absolutely. You want to dress up like a monkey, I’ll do it, yeah, absolutely. Um so again it was just a matter of trying to create different opportunities to work in different genres but there’s nothing like making people laugh and feel good. That’s always really gratifying.
