In: 02.02.09 Out: 02.02.26 Sound Bite: Omar Benson Miller You know I’m going to go out on a limb here and say in my opinion that Cotton Bowl Sequence is some of the best football in American Cinema History. I mean its like riveting you feel like you’re watching a live game its like a live sporting event (talks) Yeah good point. |

In: 02.02.39 Out: 02.03.16 Sound Bite: Omar Benson Miller You know by in large there was a lot of stunt activity that we didn’t get a lot of action. Now the Cotton Bowl sequence is the most football I got to play in the whole film. Uhm I think that since the other guys were high level football players whether it was division one college or some professional football players out there everybody knew that they didn’t want to hurt anyone so we just got to get after it. (talks) it was a lot of fun, I had a couple cricks in my neck and I get lit up a couple of times but you know you get to testosterone flowin man you feel like the incredible hulk out there so its nice. |

In: 02.03.27 Out: 02.04.26 Sound Bite: Omar Benson Miller Well I think that you know my character is based on John Brown who was also a of the 1959 perfect season and went onto play in Cleveland and other teams in the NFL and uhm I felt like I had a duty almost to get this relationship right and the balance that’s between these two guys is phenomenal because Ernie let his talking do….he …sorry about that…Ernie let his playing do the talking on the field and J.B. was more of a guy who’s going to talk and play and if you need to get in your face and if you need to clown you and make a joke about you and I think its great because Ernie always took that moral high ground and at times that old moral high ground needs to be backed by physical intimidation and J.B. was there for that. |

In: 02.04.46 Out: 02.05.25 Sound Bite: Omar Benson Miller Well yes and no I mean I was relayed stories through my childhood by my parents who are southern about the social injustices and the hills of racism in society and there were times that I faced it throughout my life and most importantly in getting the film The Express, seeing it first hand uhm brought all of those memories back which is used to help bring authenticity to the character into the film and I think it shows how far we’ve come as a society and to a certain degree unfortunately how far we still need to go as a society. |
