APPROXIMATELY 100' OF 16MM COLOR FILM COMPILED ON A 7 REEL. RUN TIME: 1:05 THIS FOOTAGE IS A CONTINUATION OF A FUNERAL THAT TOOK PLACE IN NOVEMBER OF 1963 - SEE 2000.78.4.12 SHOWN IS A SECOND LINE PARADE THAT STARTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ST. LOUIS AND TREME STREETS IN THE TREME NEIGHBORHOOD. THE TIP TOP BAR (1400 ST. LOUIS) IS SEEN IN THE BACKGROUND AND A LAUNDRY AND CLEANERS IS VISIBLE AT THE RIGHT. A BLACK AND SILVER FLAG THAT READS "FRIENDS" IS SEEN AND CARRIED ABOVE THE DANCING CROWD. A GRAND MARSHAL, WHO IS TENTATIVELY IDENTIFIED AS HENRY YOUNGBLOOD, IS SEEN WEARING A SASH AND WITH A CIGAR IN HIS MOUTH. HE MARCHES WITH A WOMAN, WHO MAY BE "MAMA RUTH", PROPRIETOR OF RUTH'S COZY CORNER. THE ONWARD BRASS BAND IS SEEN PARADING, AND INCLUDE PAUL BARBARIN (1901-1969) PLAYING SNARE DRUM."
