Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway – rare that you see 2 female leads opposite each other
No no, you’re absolutely, that was one of the reasons I wanted to make the movie was because I thought, I mean, not that I’ve been doing this for very long, but I have been acting for about a decade now and I’ve never been sent a female buddy comedy, not once. Never once. And I just thought that’s awful. (talks) I don’t think so either but I got excited and I thought well who better to have who better to play your best friend in a movie than Kate Hudson. |

Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway – had she ever met Kate before
I had met Kate just a couple times beforehand and really liked her. She’s a super fun girl, she’s just she’s so vivacious, so full of life, she’s got such powerful energy, so she’s a lot of fun to be around. |

Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway – on women being obsessed with weddings *RC at end
I find that this kind of cliché idea of you know women being obsessed with weddings um is actually far, it’s far rarer than you think, but the reason that I wanted to make this movie in spite of, I don’t mean to call my movie a cliché, but the fact of the matter there are those girls that really it matters to them, they have wedding books before they have grooms, they buy the dress beforehand, and I’m just not that girl so I don’t care about if there are a lot of those girls or if there aren’t a lot of those girls but they are out there and I wanted to tell that story. (talks) I’m feeling really embarrassed right now, the cliché is that all women are obsessed with their wedding. That’s not true. Some women are, some women aren’t. Some women like chocolate. |

Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway
Yes I think so too and I think obsession caught in a comedic way is always funny. |

Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway – people hearing about Rachel Getting Married
I hope that people do, I think there’s a lot of merit in Rachel Getting Married, there’s a lot of reasons to see it. I’m so proud of it as a movie, I’m so proud to be a part of it, but I think uh I think the studio Sony Pictures Classics really seem they have a plan they’re doing an amazing job. They’re um it’s at a limited release right now and I think they’re gonna expand it to go wide as a quite closer to the Independent Spirit Awards stuff like that maybe just before it as hopefully you know stuff happens so you know I think it’s going well. |

Sound Bite: Anne Hathaway – which was more fun, this or Rachel
To be perfectly honest I had more um fun on Rachel Getting Married. It’s just different kinds of fun. You know this one was um, I like things that move faster. In the independent world you don’t have time you don’t have the money to sit around and wait and this one you know it was a little bit slower, 19 hour days, which is not, I don’t mean to complain about them but they were long and uh but this one you know it was a more traditionally filmed movie but um the scenes like the pure acting of it was just as much fun as that part of its always pure and that part of its always wonderful. |
