| Legendary drummer (Howlin'
Wolf Band, Paul Butterfield, Jimmy Reed, Bob Dylan) Sam
Lay began filming the night life in Chcago's South Side Blues Bars,
Lounges, and Night Clubs in the late 1950's. All through the 60's
Sam's camera captured the Blues world more intimately than any filmmaker
was able to. Blues legends such as MUDDY WATERS, HOWLIN'
WOLF, LITTLE WALTER, SONNY LAND SLIM, JIMMY REED and countless
others are filmed on the bandstand and hamging out with their friends
at nightclubs. A truly amazing, one-of-a-kind document of Afro-American
nightclubs and music from the late 50's to 1970.
When the lengendary Blues artist performed in bars, not concert
halls!
